Following a trip to Niagara Falls as a teenager, our family made a stop at the Corning Glass Factory and I fell in love with glass. From the beautiful windows in the cathedrals of Europe to the glassblowers of Murano, Italy to the amazing creations of Dale Chihuly, I am still in love with the beauty of glass. My journey with stained glass began with a weekend class at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond. I began taking classes at the Visual Arts Center under Barbara Atkinson, where I continue to take classes. I enjoy creating my own patterns and picking through the beautiful colored glass to come up with just the right pieces for a project. From start to finish, each stained glass piece is a labor of love!
