Mike Haubenstock lives in Glen Allen, Virginia where he produces beautiful and soothing oil paintings. He began taking drawing lessons in Glen Allen in 2003 and then graduated to oils when he desired to learn more about painting. He continues to refine his technique and paints what inspires him. He learns something new and practices his art almost every day.
Mike's painting is fundamentally representational. He wants you to be drawn in by color and depth, by a painting that inspires and creates continual interest and perhaps whets your appetite.
Mike’s inspiration comes from many sources, such as architecture, landscapes, still lifes and, most importantly, color, which moves the artist as well as the audience. He often picks a theme and paints many scenarios to perfect his art and challenge himself.
