An avid plein air artist, Lauren has been honored with many awards for her work. She finds plein air painting to be a great adventure, forcing her to paint a variety of subjects, and challenging her to paint with greater acumen. A graduate of Boston College, Lauren pursued the Fine Arts at the Pennsylvania Academy in tandem with a 15-year career in technology. Lauren continued to study part-time with American masters John Phillip Osborne and John C. Traynor. Both of these New Jersey-based artists use the “prismatic palette,” a methodology with origins in 19th century European ateliers and academies. Any success the artist has experienced in the world of plein air, she attributes to these influences. Lauren has recently been featured in Plein Air Magazine, teaches oil painting workshops, and instructs a weekly studio class in Rumson, New Jersey.
